Shaka Beach & Surf Retreat of Costa Rica is a private tropical haven nestled in lush jungle surroundings, home to a diverse array of local flora and fauna including monkeys, birds, and native fruit trees. We offer luxurious, spacious villas at an affordable price. Our boutique hotel is an alluring example of modern tropical architecture, designed to be used individually or together as one "house.”
Each of our luxurious spacious villas is surrounded by tropical gardens and native fruit trees. Our guests love the privacy and tranquility of each villa-- designed with local architectural expertise, though fully equipped with modern amenities.
Choose from one villa--or all four--to suit your needs. We have experience hosting families with children, honeymooners, surf camps, women's groups, adaptive surfers, cleanse and body-work workshops, and solo travelers. We include a fresh breakfast served daily in our open-air rancho.
At Shaka Beach Retreat, we work with each client prior to arrival to create a custom vacation. We are pleased to provide you with a bilingual personal assistant to assist and guide you during your stay. She will take care of things such as making your dinner reservations or ordering meals, arranging tours and activities, setting up massages and childcare, and provide you with information about the area.

Each villa comes with a pillow-top queen size bed with an optional single bunk, daybed, a private bathroom, AC, hot water, private safe, ceiling fan, surfboard rack, high quality linens, kitchen counter and sink, closet, spacious terrace and bench, wireless internet, and a hammock to make your stay enjoyable.
